How To Get Along – Libra and Taurus

Libra is Air and Cardinal. Taurus is Earth and Fixed. However, they are both ruled by Venus. This brings a pleasantness and warmth to both of these signs. Libra is a much stronger and more firm opponent than many signs will admit. They are the only inanimate signs of the zodiac. This should send a message. They are coldly unconquerable from an argumentative point of view. Taurus, using their power and stability brings sound conservative actions to this couple. Libra likes this and sees the Bull as reasonable. And the Taurus does not need to take on Libra at every turn.

Libra and intellect go hand in hand. Libra is about balancing it all. The Art of Love is held by Librans as a thing to master. Playboy, or playgirl, they can see mastery in so many of life’s challenges. They are about getting their way. Not so much to just get their way, but because their way is the reasonable, well thought out, measured way. Librans are restless down to their toes.

The irony is that their goal of absolute balance is not really achievable in their dynamic dualistic world. Thus enters the Taurus from stage left. The Taurus, in their ingenious approach to existence, can sleep soundly, digest fully and appreciate completely, while the world spins in its chaotic way, with all of its parts in a state of flux.

Venus’s ruler ship of both of these signs, declares that a positive spin will always be a part of the public relations campaign for this couple or partnership. Taurus is about making cozy, making comfortable, making peaceful and rich. Libra loves to try all of these things and analyze why coziness and comfort should be the reasonable predominant rule. Taurus’s existential comfort and Libra’s intellectual balance will create a picture of optimistic realization. This may not be the inner reality, all kinds of turmoil could be cooking, but the outer image should be well taken care of.

Taurus will take very kindly to Libra’s artful approach to love. Libra will smile at Taurus’s sensuality. They could both bask in the beautiful balance of romance pulled off like a Hollywood flick. If there are no outstanding problems, romance could be one of the big positives to the togetherness of this couple. How To Get Along – Taurus and Aquarius

Aquarius is Air and Fixed. Taurus is Earth and Fixed. Their shared fixity though, is not much help in predicting that these two would easily match up. This is one of those “transportation and transformation” couplings that I like to name that way for easy comprehension. If two people fall in love, they can make it. That is the human species. However some couplings and unions will only succeed, or best succeed, if they are “transported to a new place, and transformed in a new way.” Through growth, self-awareness and a desire to change themselves, people can make any union work.

Aquarius is not easily understood. Even by themselves. They can be ingenious; and they can be downright backward and eccentric. Taurus is born for normalcy and observing the Water Bearer’s statements and behavior could be a major chore. Aquarians contradict themselves happily.

They see it as one of their more interesting qualities. Because they see so much more than the rest of us, they see that self-contradiction and ambiguous global statements are the only way they can get across their grand visions. Taurus will look at this performance and still not see anything more than the ambiguity that is quite plain to them. Aquarius will not admire Taurus for this simplicity; but they could see in Taurus that the simplicity and hard working quality of Taurus could be a benefit to the Water Bearer.

Taurus and Aquarius - Positive Postulate:

Wild Uranus rules the Aquarian mind. This can make the Aquarian truly a fascinating person. If you take them as you have them, the Aquarian is not subversive or perverse, they are just who they are, in all of their complex intelligence and intuitiveness. They do seem to know much that they have not formally learned. Taurus could be positively entertained and lifted up by their Aquarian friend. Charming, warm Taurus, could stand back and let the Aquarian be itself, and then go home together, pleased that the couple somehow came off as both interesting and stable. Quite a feat.

Romance Recommendation:

Aquarius is not your most touchy feely sign. Some are actually averse to real vigorous physical contact. Taurus however, understands the physicality of romance in a most basic way. It is quite simple to romantic and sensual Taurus that romance was made like all the other things that it can touch and see – eating, sleeping and moving on this beautiful planet. For these two matching up is going to happen at several levels. That is not negative. It is actually positive; but it will take consciousness and surrender. Surrender is a powerful word. It might be the key here.

Taurus and Aquarius - Conflict Quotient:

Conflict for this match is almost a certainty. Not physical beatings, more like serpentine pathways of human talk and intuition. Taurus will not take a liking to these long conversations, but to be kind and attentive, it might have to engage in a carousel of words, images and imaginings to get through to a conclusion. This in itself can be entertaining. The trouble with conflict is that it is often done when blood pressures are up, pulses are pounding and little beads of sweat are dripping down foreheads. Taurus can handle this, as long as it holds back its relationship-shaking temper.

This factor asks the question: ” Can we be bored together over the long term? “ Aquarius, greeting the day, broke or rich, will have some kind of angle on something that would not be labeled “boring”. “Tedious originality”, if that is a phrase to coin, might be a problem. Taurus could be pushed into itself, if the relationship with the Aquarian was too withering – and be accused of being boring. But looking at this combination, I would not say that boredom would be a stupefying problem.

Not that it would be impossible, but it would be a challenge.

Since Aquarius has a way of turning love at first sight into a nodding acquaintance, or a “buddy buddy” kind of relationship, the Bull might be disenchanted or befuddled over time. A 7 year itch could get downright hyperactive. However, if the Taurean and Aquarian match up made it into a multi-year affair, it would have much to be said for it. Thus, one could see that adjustments over the years and growth on each part could be realized.

Taurus and Aquarius - RATING:

ASTROCOMPATIBILITY POSSIBILITY RATING: 55% Positive Long Term – 70% Short Term . Aquarius has a way of consuming people that they first encounter. Taurus could enjoy that first encounter. As they proceeded, Taurus might grow to see that they had a complex partner. Taurus might develop a sense of being less important to the Aquarian. Unless the years grew an intense warm passion to live with, the long term relationship might develop cracks. “Transportation and transformation” would be the key.

Sagittarius and Sagittarius

Sagittarius is a Fire Sign and Mutable. The Centaur, (Archer) (Horse) is one of the more distinctive signs in the zodiac. Now we contemplate that two of them meet, find each other attractive, and begin to explore each other’s identities as being candidates for partner, associate, mate, and lover. The Centaur (half man half horse) is a great image for Sagittarian characteristics. They are characterized by various images: shooting their arrows, making outlandish statements, being not only painfully honest, but sometimes humorously honest. They are valiant like knights, seeking fairness and justice. A bit like Don Quixote, the Sagittarius is motivated to take on “impossible dreams”, as the tale declares. If there were not one party in the zodiac like this, it would have to be invented. Who is going to be the one to lead the way when a charge is needed? The Sagittarian fills the bill.

And, it cannot be a defiant or angry sign, it must be a kindly sign, one with good intentions abounding. That is why when the Archer’s characteristics are described, you hear about “unintentionality”. The Sagittarian works from its own center. It’s own core. That core is a vibrant heart that is trying to make good things happen. Individual charts studied would reveal the heart of each and their more internal programming.

Now if these two are thrown together, they can do to each other that which they do to others. It makes sense, especially since the Archers are so ebullient and unrestrained. So, what if two Archers end up with a bunch of arrows sticking in them? If all of their honesty ends up rattling the bones of their partner, then there is an automatic lesson being learned by both of them. “Perhaps we need to learn to bridle ourselves. Perhaps we need to understand that our unmitigated joyfulness, which often becomes laughter in the face of pain, needs to be altered and changed.” It is in this thought that the beauty of this match might be told. The need for enlightenment with Sagittarius comes with the Archer calming down and seeing how the opened mind will bring enlightenment to both of them. Then, perhaps the Don Quixote becomes not a knight of futility, but one of grand realizations.

A positive view of this coupling is one in which the joyful Archer is matched and harnessed together, not with smothering restraint, but with the freedom of consciousness guiding their partnership. These two will tend to be blessings socially and spread their beneficent natures outward.

The wildness of the horses really makes romance a happy and vigorous act of caring for one another and holding back excesses, which could be considered the Archer’s errors. When the excesses are held back, wholesomeness is generated.

Sagittarius and Sagittarius - Conflict Quotient:

Since the basic Centaur is happy and possessed of strong loving intentions, they must be considered as boisterous in conflict, and free in their ways of self-expression. If the two of these understand that they should not bit the backs of their fellow Centaur, and hold back the arrows of self-defense, then they should be smooth sailing.

This factor asks the question: ” Can we be bored together over the long term? “ When you see a horse galloping across the field, and then stopping to enjoy the field’s grasses, you don’t think of boredom. The Scorpio and the Scorpio

Scorpio is Water and Fixed. Since Scorpio is highly complex and full of inwardly felt power, and since they tend to embody what other astrologers call eagles and doves; they are, how would one say it? Complicated. Immediately, one would suggest that they find out about their individual charts. Scorpio can vary greatly and the two of these together might actually make each other different. As with other signs that are bound up with the same sign, they should ask just how attracted they are to each other. Did they get together because they both said: “Wow, you are a Scorpio? I am a Scorpio too!” That can lead down wonderful roads of self exploration and wild curiosity. “How are we alike?” “How are we not alike?” “Why do you think we are not alike in this way?” All the time, as they are comparing notes, they are both aware of each others’ unstated and unleashed sense of inner power.

It is as if they are both Clark Kent, and they both know they are both Clark Kent. This could almost be maddening if they let it work on them. Their memory and their great ability to seek payment from someone who has harmed them make them foes that you would not want to have. Again the issue becomes, how much will they turn these qualities on each other? How much will they forgive and forget each other? How much will they hold “forgive and forget” over each other?

While you are asking yourselves these questions you should also see Pluto’s power in the both of you. The image of the Phoenix is a strong one. It means you have the power not only to create, but the power to create from burnt ashes. That is quite an image, and it is one that should animate you to do great things together. Beginning something, taking over something that was about to fail. Taking something that is almost at a crescendo and making it culminate in a wonderful climax. Scorpio and Scorpio together would have the ability to marshal their forces, creative, forceful, planning and executing goals, all of these things are possible when two Scorpios are pushing their weight forward and making new things happen, or regenerating old things.

The big issue will be how unified and allied their spirits are. Potential is a big word. And that’s what this reading is about – potential. How To Get Along - The Scales and The Scales

Libra and Libra

Libra is an Air Sign. Libra is Cardinal. Since we are matching up these two sets of Scales, we have to immediately address the cardinality. Cardinal means action. Libra has a soundness of mind and a methodical approach, but it is “alive” in action. They prize order and beauty and balance. The Scales of Justice personify the Libran ideal of law and order and peace and balance. They are seeking knowledge for more informed opinions. However, they know that knowledge is not inherent; but rather the world is full of “facts” and they are out to get them. They don’t think they invented it, conjured it up or mystically obtained it through channeling. Consequently, as they move through life, they get smarter, but do not develop an “all knowing” or “super mystic” attitude that many sun signs do. They remain Libran. As with all signs they have the “deficits of their virtues”. The deficit of the Libran is that their belief in perfect balance leads them to an internal state of disquietude. Well mannered and loving to be at ease, they are nevertheless always just a little bit troubled. When they are more than a little bit troubled, their scales fly up and down in the winds of change and flux. Librans don’t like flux. If you will notice, that is the state that the world tends to always be in.

Two Librans together could be about the best combination of all the mutual matches.

They understand who they are. They both know that in the interior they are disquieted. They both know they don’t do well when things get crazy. Since they both have this awareness of who the other is, this will help. They can say: “At least my partner is balanced.” At this point, I always recommend that mutual signs have their charts done. They will find out if their values are indeed remarkably alike, because the Libran value system is key to their approach. They are smart enough to argue a point ad infinitum, especially liking the act of talk. Sagittarius and Scorpio

Sagittarius is Fire and Mutable. Scorpio is Water and Fixed. Scorpio is legendary in the zodiac for being supremely intense and keeping its own counsel. It keeps a placid exterior and an active and suspicious mind. That famous phrase, “I only trust me and thee, and I am not sure of thee!” applies to Scorpio. Many astrologers like to refer to the Eagle or the Dove in describing subtypes of Scorpio. Whether valid or not, it does go toward the multiplicity of forces that are alive in the Scorpion. From Ghandi to Patton, you have your choice as to what you would consider the master quality of the Scorpion. But, if you want to get simple instead of complex, think of the stinger. If you have picture of coming upon a scorpion in the desert, you feel immediately that it means business with its stinger held up, ready to strike. Sagittarius is full of “beaucoup” honesty.

They hand out unsolicited advice like it is a government program. They deliver left handed compliments and abrupt insults with a smile. If a Scorpio and a Centaur develop a relationship, the Scorpio will soon have to take an onslaught of arrows, most of which are just happy, merry shots of humor, some serious comments on style or manner, and maybe one good blow to the ego. Scorpio will have to immediately keep that placid look and pretend not to be bothered. But, oh will they remember. Depending upon their individual charts, and their true attraction and liking for one another, the strong features that they both have will either be amendable to adaptation or not.

The way to growth and fuller joy is often through adjusting to our loved ones. After years of learning from one another, we can become new creatures. Sagittarian dreams can lead the Scorpio to new uplifting states of optimism. Scorpio is not always the most upbeat soul. The Sagittarian can learn, though it probably feels that it needs little training, that a plan, a deeply held plan and sturdy self discipline can mean a great deal. Scorpio is sometimes absolutely burdened with the power of its own intent. Sagittarius is often not even aware or really certain about its overall intent. Half of the things they say come out in mid thought. You can see how both could be helped here, depending upon point of view. There is the creativity and dynamism of spontaneity. There is the creativity and dynamism of the big plan coming together. Yielding sometimes is the most creative act a person can do. There is great transformative power in yielding. Who will yield? To what degree? What is yielding’s best outcome?

What a pair – A Scorpion and a Centaur. Talk from one. Intense looks from the other. This couple, partnership, pair, mates, can make an impressive image going at what they want and are after. The Centaur feels it is special. The Centaur will gleam proudly even in the sunlight of disappointment. Scorpio does not adapt without a big reason. But together, maybe a plan comes together. Keeping their self esteem, but allowing for the other, a new team emerges.

Sagittarius and Scorpio- Romance Recommendation:

The Centaur emerges from the wood with a gleam in its eye. The Scorpion can look all ready for business right now. In order to merge in romantic wonder, they will make the most of what they are, and give up just a bit of what they are. In this lies adaptation and growth.
Conflict Quotient: A real down and out battle with these two would not be recommended. The Centaur would make lots of moves and be grinning as it yelled. Great interest would result from Scorpion imagination and Centaurian sense of possibility. If they were humming along in a kind of boisterous and prosperous life together, new interest and stimulation would be an automatic result of their activity together.

The Archer and The Water Bearer

This series on Astro Compatibility will cover all of the potential matchups in the Zodiac. We will continue this series thinking about and commenting on Sagittarius and Aquarius.

Aquarius and Sagittarius

Aquarius is Air and Fixed. Sagittarius is Fire and Mutable. Duality is the Centaur’s main feature: half horse, half man. This holds them in good stead in the rough and tumble world. They are doubters, and they are believers. This contradiction goes with their duality, and it also gives them a kind of armor to take into the daily fray. Aquarius is armed with its sense of itself and its grand visions. Since they have met each other, they are attracted. They both find each other appealing. How these two personalities of Air and Fire blend and work their relationship will determine its strength in the long term.

Aquarius, with its airy nature, spending time being captured by its own intuitions, does not have the same view of itself that other more “mortal” signs do. I know an Aquarian who always talks about how he has transcended his ego.

I tell him that that is his ego talking. He laughs and does not take offense and goes on. There is something to be said there: Their feelings cannot be “hurt” in the same way as most. They can be offended, a lot. But hurts don’t descend as deeply into them. They are more pain free than others. I say this because Sagittarius, with its boisterous kind of bigger than everyone else style punishes those around them with their whimsical observations that put others in states of consternation and offense and frustration. Aquarius can stand to be around the Archer and not be affected by the moods that being with the Archer sometimes creates.

Together they bring some commonalities. As they walk into a room together, they are the team that cares. Humanistic and generous, both of these signs can agree to engage in activities that many other couples (partnerships, duos, lovers, mates) would not do. They love other people in general. Parties are sacred things where souls get together. Church, picnics, sporting events and fraternal organizations are all places where the two of these could be found together. Shaking hands, trading business cards, talking about the newest, the “not yet” and the “used to be”, both of these really do constitute a team. These two can make a pretty startling and impressive image together.

Aquarius and Sagittarius- Positive Postulate:

Positively they would be thought of as a high profile pair. They both like being “high profile”, so this is great. The Water Bearer would feel a little more like it was a part of the scene with Sagittarius. Sagittarius would feel an elevation. Being with an “all ideas, all the time” kind of intellect, the Archer could like the luster it gives them. Not that the Sagittarian is not smart, but often they can come off like they are a little scatter brained, whereas Aquarius comes off as a little eccentric. Maybe a small distinction, but one that the Archer would probably like.

Aquarius and Sagittarius - Romance Recommendation:

Sagittarius and Aquarius are a romantic partnership that would be considered both heart based and head driven. The always expressive Archer is a high energy life loving partner. The Water Bearers look at romance is decidedly unique and the two would want to share values and priorities in this regard.

Conflict Quotient:

Aquarius can find conflict especially with those who do not understand them. They can be viewed as being controversial and disputatious, when they are just being themselves. Sagittarius would know this and leave room for the individual to express its freedom. Sagittarius however, could, in its own special fashion cause offense, also just be using their familiar style. Aquarius could take umbrage, even get outraged, but the two, after a time would get used to each other’s difficult manner and abide it, as they grew.

Peace Parlay:

Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: ” Can we be bored together over the long term? “ . Sagittarius with its being able to bound out of bed, no matter what they did the night before, would probably have moments or days of exhaustion. Aquarius could be aware of this and take a mental break and join with their buddy, partner, lover, in a quiet and serene repast that could provide healing.

Keep Up The Interest Graph: Drawn down from some Uranian dream, the Aquarian could come up with some new way of understanding the now, and lend some new idea that thrills their partner. Sagittarius, responding with the upbeat curiosity that is always with them, could also produce new ideas and accept others’ fanciful impulses.
