How To Get Along – Libra and Taurus

Libra is Air and Cardinal. Taurus is Earth and Fixed. However, they are both ruled by Venus. This brings a pleasantness and warmth to both of these signs. Libra is a much stronger and more firm opponent than many signs will admit. They are the only inanimate signs of the zodiac. This should send a message. They are coldly unconquerable from an argumentative point of view. Taurus, using their power and stability brings sound conservative actions to this couple. Libra likes this and sees the Bull as reasonable. And the Taurus does not need to take on Libra at every turn.

Libra and intellect go hand in hand. Libra is about balancing it all. The Art of Love is held by Librans as a thing to master. Playboy, or playgirl, they can see mastery in so many of life’s challenges. They are about getting their way. Not so much to just get their way, but because their way is the reasonable, well thought out, measured way. Librans are restless down to their toes.

The irony is that their goal of absolute balance is not really achievable in their dynamic dualistic world. Thus enters the Taurus from stage left. The Taurus, in their ingenious approach to existence, can sleep soundly, digest fully and appreciate completely, while the world spins in its chaotic way, with all of its parts in a state of flux.

Libra and Taurus - Positive Postulate:

Venus’s ruler ship of both of these signs, declares that a positive spin will always be a part of the public relations campaign for this couple or partnership. Taurus is about making cozy, making comfortable, making peaceful and rich. Libra loves to try all of these things and analyze why coziness and comfort should be the reasonable predominant rule. Taurus’s existential comfort and Libra’s intellectual balance will create a picture of optimistic realization. This may not be the inner reality, all kinds of turmoil could be cooking, but the outer image should be well taken care of.

Libra and Taurus - Romance Recommendation:

Taurus will take very kindly to Libra’s artful approach to love. Libra will smile at Taurus’s sensuality. They could both bask in the beautiful balance of romance pulled off like a Hollywood flick. If there are no outstanding problems, romance could be one of the big positives to the togetherness of this couple. If there are problems, intimacy could be affected, but since the ideal and standard could be set so high, a lack of intimacy might hasten the solution to those problems.

Libra, like a lawyer, can take four different angles on an argument, looking reasonable and sounding reasonable as they keep their outer composure. This can have the dual effect of making the arguing party feel as if their arguments are not as valid, and also make them doubt themselves. Taurus is blessed however, with a self assurance that transcends reason. Being bull headed came to colloquial use because the bull is just going to do what it is going to do. Boredom for a Taurus would lie in lacking what it needs, and being stuck in a spot where they can not improve their condition. Taurus will do its best not to let that happen, and Libra, always wanting to balance its environment would also be committed not to allow the couple to sink into a listless colorless boredom.

That does not necessarily mean that they are promiscuous or indiscriminate. Actually, Libras are discriminating. This would mean that temptation would have to sprout from true deep dissatisfaction or anger and hurt and probably arise through “accident” (unconscious calculation) and then come about through indirection.

As they got to know each other, and saw even more similarities, they could be dynamite. This is a good natural match; Their differences could actually build their individuality. How To Get Along – Pisces and Gemini

Pisces is a Mutable Water Sign. Gemini is Mutable Air. Then think about the fact that both of you have this “two ness”. Pisces is a fish going in two different directions. Gemini is at least two people waking up each morning. It should give you a sense of comfort, while you whistle in the dark. Plainly, the biggest difference is that one of these abides in the stratosphere, and the other can be comfy in the deepest oceanic depths. Willingness becomes then, the key word. How much do they care for each other?

Their oppositional elements can definitely go together, but they both have to be willing to get an “E Ticket” to the others’ territory. If Gemini demands selfishly to insist on not entering emotional quandaries, Neptunian insights, psychic discussions and topics about the subconscious, then maybe the Twin is not ready for the Fish. Conversely, the Fish would have to let the water stream from its gills and agree to go on an all-things-are possible trip soaring through the clouds. If the Fish is too reluctant to entertain this possibly uncomfortable aspect to the fast moving Gemini, then maybe it’s not for the best.

Piscean mystery has to do with the fact that they are both super wise, and somewhat out of it.

It’s as if they are given a motion picture insight into everyone they meet, but self-understanding sometimes eludes them. Like a camera man who forgets he is a camera man and over identifies with the film, the Fish can forget. And sometimes, it’s a deep forgetfulness. There is potential beauty here though. If Gemini finds this Pisces, they can help lift, identify and classify the fishes’ soulfulness, give it a name, scrub it up and write a no nonsense story of resurrection for the one it loves.

Pisces boring lazy evenings could be quite appealing to the emotionally overwrought Gemini. The tired Fish, the hassled Gemini, could be quite happy seeking out the quietude of a “boring” scene.

Gemini hates staleness. The Fish can be SO internal, that it lives on the inside and becomes a reluctant participant. Gemini can help with this deficit, and then actually end up benefitting from the Fish’s imagination. They can keep up the interest and also develop adaptability for each other.

How To Get Along – Taurus and Aquarius

Aquarius is Air and Fixed. Taurus is Earth and Fixed. Their shared fixity though, is not much help in predicting that these two would easily match up. This is one of those “transportation and transformation” couplings that I like to name that way for easy comprehension. If two people fall in love, they can make it. That is the human species. However some couplings and unions will only succeed, or best succeed, if they are “transported to a new place, and transformed in a new way.” Through growth, self-awareness and a desire to change themselves, people can make any union work.

Aquarius is not easily understood. Even by themselves. They can be ingenious; and they can be downright backward and eccentric. Taurus is born for normalcy and observing the Water Bearer’s statements and behavior could be a major chore. Aquarians contradict themselves happily.

They see it as one of their more interesting qualities. Because they see so much more than the rest of us, they see that self-contradiction and ambiguous global statements are the only way they can get across their grand visions. Taurus will look at this performance and still not see anything more than the ambiguity that is quite plain to them. Aquarius will not admire Taurus for this simplicity; but they could see in Taurus that the simplicity and hard working quality of Taurus could be a benefit to the Water Bearer.

Wild Uranus rules the Aquarian mind. This can make the Aquarian truly a fascinating person. If you take them as you have them, the Aquarian is not subversive or perverse, they are just who they are, in all of their complex intelligence and intuitiveness. They do seem to know much that they have not formally learned. Taurus could be positively entertained and lifted up by their Aquarian friend. Charming, warm Taurus, could stand back and let the Aquarian be itself, and then go home together, pleased that the couple somehow came off as both interesting and stable. Quite a feat.

Romance Recommendation:

Aquarius is not your most touchy feely sign. Some are actually averse to real vigorous physical contact. Taurus however, understands the physicality of romance in a most basic way. It is quite simple to romantic and sensual Taurus that romance was made like all the other things that it can touch and see – eating, sleeping and moving on this beautiful planet. For these two matching up is going to happen at several levels. That is not negative. It is actually positive; but it will take consciousness and surrender. Surrender is a powerful word. It might be the key here.

Taurus and Aquarius - Conflict Quotient:

Conflict for this match is almost a certainty. Not physical beatings, more like serpentine pathways of human talk and intuition. Taurus will not take a liking to these long conversations, but to be kind and attentive, it might have to engage in a carousel of words, images and imaginings to get through to a conclusion. This in itself can be entertaining. The trouble with conflict is that it is often done when blood pressures are up, pulses are pounding and little beads of sweat are dripping down foreheads. But looking at this combination, I would not say that boredom would be a stupefying problem.

Not that it would be impossible, but it would be a challenge.

A 7 year itch could get downright hyperactive. However, if the Taurean and Aquarian match up made it into a multi-year affair, it would have much to be said for it. Thus, one could see that adjustments over the years and growth on each part could be realized.

Sagittarius – Capricorn

Sagittarius is Fire and Mutable. Capricorn is Earth and Cardinal. Capricorn’s actions and plans supply the Archer with substance for its boundless hopeful moving over the planet. If these two have found an attraction and a longing for one another, the energy that comes from that new union has a kind of spark of start for a new thing. Maybe at this moment, they are not in a business together, but the energy and power that gets created in the synergy of their union portends that something great could happen here.

How could Sagittarius benefit from a Capricorn? Quite specifically, they love the best things that the Goat has to offer. It is easy to say they are no nonsense, but put more accurately, they are all sense. As you watch a Goat up in the Rockies, (if you ever get the chance, or catch a video), they scale those heights with short leaps, and then cover lots of air and land perfectly on a place no bigger than a game board. This sure footedness seems almost magical, and for lots of creatures it would absolutely be. But they pull off this act of being Capricorns every day.

If you are a Taurus or Cancer, you will be impressed with their surefootedness, but if you are a Sagittarian, you will be amazed and jealous of this ability. In the real world, it means all of the Sagittarian aspiration gets new clothes and a new look because the Capricorn cares to provide its skills.The Goat benefits because the Goat needs someone to lead the way and charge out there with a new Capricorn approved scheme. This mystical animal atop the cliff can put its energy in a plan (love, effort, project, movement) that is worthy of its efforts. So, both benefit together.

Sagittarius and Capricorn - Positive Postulate:

The public personality of this duo is not only substantial, but also lustrous. Capricorn humor, the Archer big personality, the Goat’s sense of the structure of their social world, and the Archer way of “working a room” – all of these beneficial characteristics in a blend, make a positive impression and a great team to tackle their dreams and goals.

Romance Recommendation:

Because sometimes the Goat’s “goatiness” gets the best of it, sarcasm, the pointed insult, a casual cut can just kind of make their way out. Sagittarius drops little bombs on people just as a matter of “shooting their arrows”. Since both can cause offense at different times, they need to think about the topic of romance and how that gets impacted by the less than careful treatment of human verbal communication errors. Cancer and Virgo

These Two are Strong Workers, But They Still Have to Care for Each Other. The Two Must Not Pick at Each Other.

Cancer and Virgo. Summer and Fall. Cancer’s watery action-oriented (cardinality) self can see and understand Virgo’s Earthy Mutable agenda. Cancer and Virgo combine. Virgo sees the whole place as “needing improvement”.

Cancer thinks it can improve it. They get great purpose from this mission. Since they are Virginal and naïve, they see this as their noble purpose.

Cancer’s gentleness and sensitivity is appealing to the Virgin. Narcissus is associated with Virgo. Remember that Narcissus fell in love with itself, because it did not understand that the reflection in the water was in fact, itself. Virgo’s sense of superiority with their minds full of plans for the all too human rest of the world, finds tolerance in the warm whimsy of the Moonchild. Ironically, both of these have “internal turmoil” – for differing reasons, but that inner stormy nature, finds a partner in the other.

The Virgin is health-oriented and full of safety and cautionary advice. Since they are here to fix the rest of us, they can turn to their buddy Cancer, who has food and drink and a little cash stashed for its loved ones. Cancer’s Cardinality works well with Virgin Mutability. They both have plans and are ready to act. Cancer is focused on the home. The Virgo cares about health and order. Their troubled lack of ease besets them both, but they would not have it any other way. How can you complain about your mission in life? There is that word “complaint”.

Both of these tend to see “complaint” as a normal part of the constructive and creative process. You have to complain to communicate your emotional unrest and suggest ways to get rid of the complaint. Of course, they don’t tell you that they will complain tomorrow about a new previously unsolved problem or state of being. Virgo’s fast-paced mental activity leads to edgy impatience. That inner irritability, the Cancer can deal with, since they have moods of their own.

Cancer and Virgo - Positive Postulate:

Virgo is openly gentle and Cancer is engaging and polite. Neither is dismissive, arrogant or outlandish. Yes, Virgo is the best person it knows and Cancer would respect the Virgin because it does not go out and officially try to offend, it just insists on giving helpful advice. Virgo, at the same time can be quite attentive to the suffering and the needy. When the Moonchild is overwhelmed, Virgo will be there.

Romance Recommendation:

When at their best, these two can submerge themselves in their earthen watery worlds. That blending can be deeply satisfying and reinforcing for their souls. Subsumed in the quietude of meeting and knowing each other, it can be beautiful. They both should watch for the edginess that they both can foster. The Virginal world of the Critic, the Lunar world of Worry can converge, or even generate the others mood, in a kind of response. “Leave each other alone and let batteries charge” could be the quickest and most satisfying advice.

Cancer and Virgo - Conflict Quotient:

Virgo can definitely develop a “laundry list” to which the Cancer could react, if they decided to lose their patience. Cancer’s moods can get deeply emotive and they can take a protective stance that might lead to defensive measures that are razor edged. Since Virgo does not tend to self-examination and doubt, they will be given to repeating their crtitiques and sharpening their points on their partner. Objective resolution of issues will not be won as one might hope. These two have to really watch what they say to each other, so that hurts won’t embed themselves in the flesh of their relationship and require surgical remediation.

Peace Parlay:

Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: “Can we be bored together over the long term?” Virgo is restless and wants to always improve things. They would see boredom as a problem to be addressed. Cancer’s cardinality would keep them in motion and also address unproductive stale situations. Although, both would need time for healing, solace and solitude, these things would probably not be viewed as “boredom” issues, but rather salubrious interludes. They both can find things to do in the garden, or the home improvement catalogue. Peaceful patterns of living would be in the calendars of each.

Not adventurous, as in “flying off to Cancun on a whim”, Virgo could end up being accused of too much “normalcy”. Cancer might like the trip to Cancun, but would plan each day and budget for each meal. Virgo would have to see “interest” as a more high-minded issue, like “marital improvement” or “relationship enrichment”. Then the Virgin could proceed creatively and address their lacks as a construction project, not an admission of fault.

Seven Year Itchiness:

There are some signs that by their nature are more stable in their love interests and family concerns as time goes on. Others are not. The Virgo would see the 7 year itch as a needless flaw of the average person. Cancer would worry about it as something their partner might do. As a scenario for them, neither would consider it openly, officially. An actual time of infidelity would be like scheduling a sickness or malady.

RATING:

ASTROCOMPATIBILITY POSSIBILITY RATING: 75% Positive Long Term – 60% Short Term. A happy and mellow mating could be easily envisioned. A hot short term would not be foreseen, just a warm growing of understanding, a heart-felt meeting of needs without the natural tendency to criticize or suffer from hurt feelings. Internal hurts and excessive criticism would be the potential damage makers.

How to Get Along Does Not Mean Loving. It Does Not Mean Friends for Life. It is Learning How to Successfully Enjoy Others Company

As a student of Astrology since 1975, I have listened to all the party talk about this sign and that sign and what they seem to be like. Of course, most people are talking about their particular Cancer, their most beloved buddy – Leo, or their hated parent – Virgo.

When you hear people talk about a sun sign, you are most likely hearing about two or three (at the most) intimate, close (hated or loved) relationships they had with those signs.

That’s fine. That’s the fun of it, and that’s our short hand way of figuring out our loved ones and also chatting about astrology. Since this is an art, along with the blending of astro talk and ancient texts which speak about the signs, there is no absolute fixity about this topic. However, there are elements of the sun signs which apart from subjective experience do tend to shine a light the way we manifest our characters in this earthly realm.�

The Point of this Article:

There are tricks to getting along. I emphasize getting along, and do not emphasize, the words persuade, dissuade, win and argument with, dominate or seduce. Those topics are for other times. Getting along is, in a sense, what life first asks us to do, and in a way, its the hardest thing we are asked to do, especially with certain sun signs.

I remember a date I had in college in which my date talked 95% of the time. I nodded, made sweet nonverbal grunts, chuckled and threw in looks of whimsy and lifted my eye brows a lot. It was a fun time, and I was not bored. I still remember it though, for the compliment I received. She said, “Chris you are such a good conversationalist.” She did not say: “You listen well.” That night I was “getting along”. The effectiveness of my listening was that it was interpreted as talking. The point is to get along so that you will be viewed positively, and perhaps construed to be a different kind of person, maybe, than you really are. That’s OK, social lubricants make the world go ’round. So, what I am trying to impart is that you want to “get along” so that you can be well thought of, and perhaps even positively reviewed as a friend, buddy, associate, subordinate or superior.

Cancer – “I am not a crab. Its just that the beach is the best place for my family.”

Cancer – the Crab, the Moonchild is a complex sun sign. The word “getting along” should really be emphasized here. They don’t really care about being easy to get along with, unless they have a vested interest in you, the enterprise, the event. If they have this vested interest, they can charm you to the heights. But that’s only if their family or their business is involved. The emphasis on crab is an easy image to bring a level of understanding to. They skitter along the beach in front of the ocean. They know how to gather resources in for their family. And they are smarter than all the other animals because at their front door, the most resplendent life-producing element on the planet is constantly dropping its tidal waves of vitality right there. The ocean — giver of life.

The Moonchild is a statement about their predictable mood changes. Don’t think of them as unpredictably moody. Think of them as predictably moody. They go from quarter moon, to half moon, then full, then waning. down to the new moon, then waxing. There is a level of sureness there. For their loved ones, they only have to wait. The trouble is you can’t go up to a cancer and ask them what phase of the moon they are in, you just have to smile and wait, and see where they are at. But outwardly – They are like Betty Crocker. They can run a corporation from a phone booth. They are enterprising, hardworking, sweet moody people who are quite intense. That intensity though, is subsurface. They are not intense so you will be intimidated. They are intense because, they are intense. And they will do their best to hide that intensity; often with minimal success.

When you meet someone who is “virginal” you are meeting a collection of virtues which almost seem to oppose one another. There are not too many virginal people around these days, so imagine someone from an old movie or a novel. The Virgo, the Virgin, sees the world in a certain way and they see all the rules that go into that world. They try to keep them. They try to help other people to observe those rules and they will serve you with those attempts. The opositional ideas come when you don’t see the world like they do. Then they criticize you.

Virginal “criticism” as such, does not exist for the Virgo. They are just righting you on the path. How can that be criticism for heaven’s sake? You are on this path, you are about to go off the path, they are pulling you so you won’t get hurt. That is not criticism. If you call it criticism then you just don’t understand. All the confusion and the suffering out there is because people just don’t get how to stay on the path.

Getting along with Virgos has to do with letting them love and serve you the way they want to. Do not push a different world view on them. Little bits of criticism will start firing off at you. Stop. Don’t take offense. They are just righting your path. And the other benefit is that they are probably helping you or serving you in some way, so it is very difficult to get angry with them. In this case, the I-function would be asserting to the individual that they are in love with their partner, whereas the brain is actually just producing this perception in response to its interpretation of the heightened levels of oxytocin present in the blood stream as a result of the association between the partner and previous sexual stimulation. This subconscious recognition of an intense emotional bond, and the initial ability to form this emotional bond, all point to oxytocin as a major facilitator of social interactions and intense emotions associated with bonding.

The Archer and The Archer

This series on Astro Compatibility will cover all of the potential matchups in the Zodiac. We will continue this series thinking about and commenting on Sagittarius and Sagittarius (Centaurs).

Sagittarius and Sagittarius

Sagittarius is a Fire Sign and Mutable. The Centaur, (Archer) (Horse) is one of the more distinctive signs in the zodiac. Now we contemplate that two of them meet, find each other attractive, and begin to explore each other’s identities as being candidates for partner, associate, mate, and lover. The Centaur (half man half horse) is a great image for Sagittarian characteristics. They are characterized by various images: shooting their arrows, making outlandish statements, being not only painfully honest, but sometimes humorously honest. They are valiant like knights, seeking fairness and justice. A bit like Don Quixote, the Sagittarius is motivated to take on “impossible dreams”, as the tale declares. If there were not one party in the zodiac like this, it would have to be invented. Who is going to be the one to lead the way when a charge is needed? The Sagittarian fills the bill.

And, it cannot be a defiant or angry sign, it must be a kindly sign, one with good intentions abounding. That is why when the Archer’s characteristics are described, you hear about “unintentionality”. The Sagittarian works from its own center. It’s own core. That core is a vibrant heart that is trying to make good things happen. Individual charts studied would reveal the heart of each and their more internal programming.
