Icharus Flew Too Close To The Sun -
In Greek mythology there is a character who, through its sense of immortality and might and the joy of its soaring flight, flies so close to the Sun, that it is burnt up. The quest for human intimacy, whether your aspirations are short term or long, can end up being a bit like Icharus' fatal flight. The mine-strewn fields that we human creatures negotiate can lead to short term fun or long term matching, or disappointment, heartache, bitterness and self-loathing. As we pass through the game and its rules, sometimes we can feel that our wings are burning.
The phrase "getting lucky" speaks volumes. It is at once our human way of acknowledging that Lady Fortune and Lady Chance and Lady Fate are all overseeing what looks to be, to mortal eyes, a big social sexual romatic lottery. The whole of our species throws up their collective hands in a sense of gigantic wonder -- How do we manage the whole romantic proposition in the first place? And then all those Ladies mentioned above seem to sing together in a Chorus - Look at all the getting together we end up doing, it's not really that difficult, it just feels daunting. In the end, somehow we have a meeting of the minds, and the bodies and the eyes -- "across a crowded room".

Some think that Astrology just confuses the issue and gets in between those eyes meeting and those hearts humming together in a primitive drum beat of harmony. No need to get too graphic here, but the cattle on the top of the hill can make quite a silhouette against the blue sky. Aries might be considered too electrical and dynamic for slower more romantic types. With Taurus, you are dealing with a more plodding and serious minded approach to the topic of love. At a party, if you have a Taurus and they look deep into your eyes, be pretty well satisfied that they are not playing with your sentiments. They like the physical aspects of life. They love the blazing sun, the smooth cud, the blood coursing through their ample bodies and the meeting of the same in another partner. Taurus loves the fun and pleasure, but they are not capricious. If you have been chosen, then they are going to follow through. Geminis can be magnetic and attention-getting and look like a good bet early in the game. Then with both males and females, you have to see how serious they really are. That was probably said to a flighty Gemini. Keep in mind, these people know how to make the pursuit very exciting. Change, flirtation, possibility, and hypnotizing allure all can be Gemini traits. There is nothing like a wild sounding Gemini female who seems for all you can gather, like a really serious potential love. Then, she leaves at 10:30 without saying good-bye. Wow.
Cancer - "Moonchild or Crabchild, I am serious about my intent." -
Cancers consider themselves real catches. And they are really good long term propositions. After all, they are going to build a kingdom from your love. Build a family, establish a home and adorn it beautifully - all of this coming from their initial moon-like moves in the sky and crab-like dances on the beach.. You won't be deceived by a Cancer. But they will be worried constantly about whether they are being deceived, and if they think they are being deceived, they can get back at you. Don't come at a Cancer like you might the more playful and electric types. Come at them with a clear steady look in your eye and a trueness that comes from the center of you. That's what they are looking for, so if you can't manage something akin to that, back off, study your lines and get ready for a great performance. It's hard to fool a Cancer, so don't try.
